We're the new kids on the block, but also among the most experienced.
Adam, our photography guide/mentor has run photography workshops for years both here in Brisbane and overseas. He really knows his stuff, and how to make difficult concepts seem easy.
Shaking things up
Brisbane's most established photography courses are mostly the same - set subjects taught at set locations. The plus is that you know what you're gonna get, but the downside is that one size doesn't always fit all.
We're here to do things differently. YOU set the agenda. We are confident that whatever it is you want to learn, and whatever your level, we have the knowledge and experience to help you take your photography to the next level.
Two birds, one stone
If you're visiting Brisbane, you want to see all the city has to offer. We take you to the most interesting places AND help you take better photographs while you're there. We understand it's not just about the photography, it's about enjoying and learning about a new place. With BNE Lens, you can do both in one!
If you live here, you've probably seen most places already. But we do have some special spots up our sleeve. Not only that, but we have the flexibility to run workshops that take advantage of the many events that happen in Brisbane every year. Why not experience a festival or event and develop your camera skills at the same time? We can make it happen!
Our photography mentor
Adam Robert Young is a highly experienced photographer who is also an excellent educator. With photographs published by clients such as Bloomberg Businessweek and CNBC, Adam has also worked on documentary projects with a range of NGOs and was also the staff photographer for lifestyle magazine Oi Vietnam.
With a Master's degree in photography under his belt, Adam is currently undertaking a PhD which revolves around a documentary project he is working on. He also teaches photography at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University.
